The Event
Each spring, the Home Builders Foundation hosts the Building Hope Gala & Auction, an elegant evening of fundraising. This event draws the who’s who of the residential home building industry, bringing over 400 generous supporters together at the glamorous Nines Hotel in downtown Portland. This year, festivities will be held on Saturday, April 8th.

This year's event timeline has changed! Registration for guests will
open at 5:30pm. Dinner and the live auction will begin promptly at

The 20th Anniversary
2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the Home Builders Foundation, as well as its 20th annual Building Hope Gala & Auction. To help us celebrate this milestone achievement, Home Builders Foundation Founder Rudy Kadlub will serve as the Honorary Chairman of the event.
The Cause
Funds raised at this event will benefit Home Builders Foundation, the charitable arm of the Home Builders Association of Metro Portland. Home Builders Foundation builds, renovates and preserves shelters and transitional housing facilities for those experiencing homelessness in our community.
Founded in 1997, Home Builders Foundation (HBF) uses financial contributions to leverage hundreds of thousands of dollars of donated and heavily discounted labor and materials from the residential construction industry to build and renovate shelters. Construction cost savings are then invested to help shelter operators invest in education, job training, and securing permanent housing for their residents.
