The HBF Trap Shoot observes the following safety rules during the event:
1. 12 or 20 gauge shotguns ONLY
2. No outside ammunition allowed. All ammunition will be provided. If
teams are found to be using outside ammunition, it may be grounds for
disqualification.
3. PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT BRING ALCOHOL ON-SITE. Any alcohol found on-site
or in the parking lot will be confiscated and the team will be asked to
leave the competition. Alcohol will be served at the After Party.
Shooters must lock their guns in vehicles prior to entering the After
Party. Once a shooter has entered the After Party, they may no longer
participate in the competition nor use the traps.
4. All guns must be unloaded and have actions open until it is your turn
to shoot. Please leave your gun in a rack when not in use.
All shooters are required to pass a safety inspection prior to
registration. Safety monitors will be stationed in the parking lot.
Please check in with them prior to registering at the clubhouse.
Remember that we have a number of novice shooters at this event. Please
be vigilant and remind others to help keep this event safe!
Covid-19 Precautions
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 Trap Shoot will be going through
some changes. Home Builders Foundation is committed to the safety of
all who attend this year's event. In addition to a reduced attendance,
scroll down to see some of the safety protocols and measures HBF is putting into place.
ADDITIONAL ADDED SAFETY MEASURES:
(Sponsored by James Hardie Building Products)
Each team will assign a Team Captain/Squad Leader. There will be several opportunities
to attend a mandatory Zoom call for these individuals prior to the event
to hear about what safety protocols will be in place and to ask questions of our committee and our staff.
Waivers for the event will be offered online only. We will also collect phone numbers
to use only for contact tracing if any instance of Covid-19 were to arise at the event.
HBF will be renting several portable toilets
made with Sanafor™, which controls the growth of microorganisms
and is proven to reduce levels of bacteria by 99.9999%.
(Sponsored by Adair Homes)
BBQ lunch will be prepared and packaged into boxed lunches by our caterer in a
sterile kitchen off site. Catering staff will be required to wear face coverings and
protective gloves at all times.
(Sponsored by Taiga Exterior Wood)
To continue our commitment to the safety of our attendees, volunteers, and staff,
we will be researching additional measures set forth by the CDC and
other advisory agencies to implement a this year's
Home Builders Foundation Trap Shoot presented by Parr Lumber.
